The R.O.B. amiibo figure is in the sixth wave of the Super Smash Bros series of amiibo figures. In North America, it was released in a Retro 3-Pack along side Mr. Game & Watch and Duck Hunt Dog exclusively to GameStop (US) and EB Games (CAN). The Famicom Colored R.O.B. amiibo was released on March 18th, 2016 as a standalone figure.

The R.O.B. (Robotic Operating Buddy) was a toy accessory for the Nintendo Entertainment System (NES) and Nintendo Family Computer (Famicom), and worked with 2 games. The R.O.B. has since made several cameo appearances in other games and media and become a veteran fighter since Super Smash Bros Brawl.

R.O.B. sporting his Famicom colors. This robotic operating buddy was released in 1985 as an accessory for the Nintendo Entertainment System™. R.O.B. introduced a new and unique way for players to interact with games. In recent years R.O.B.'s appeared as a playable character in multiple games, including Super Smash Bros. for Wii U and Nintendo 3DS, using projectile weapons to attack and a rocket base to fly through the air.
Trivia[]
- The R.O.B. amiibo figure is the first in the entire Super Smash Bros line of figures to have a regional difference, or 2 variations by default. The different variations are based off of the Famicom and NES. He is now available with both regular and Famicom colors in North America.
- Unlike Bayonetta, Cloud, and Corrin, R.O.B.'s alternate version is not called "Player 2." Additionally, he is the only one not to be a DLC character.
